The Greens & Cheddar pretzels that were included in this month’s Mind Game of the Month Box are tasty (and healthy) for dogs all on their own. But, if you want to get a little creative with how you use them to motivate and delight your pup, keep reading…
5 Ways to use this month’s treats:
-
Break the pretzel treats up into small pieces. Hide the pieces around your house (in dog safe spaces, of course) and let your pup hunt them out, hide-and-seek style. This encourages them to use their sense of smell and rewards them when they are successful!
- Take some yogurt out on a sheet of parchment paper and place a few of the pretzels on the yogurt. Be sure to push the pretzels down into the yogurt a bit. Put the paper on a baking sheet and place in the freezer for a few hours. When it’s frozen solid, break the pieces up and you have a delicious froyo pretzel treat for your furry bestie!
-
. Use your pup’s favorite Kong (or other treat dispensing toy) and place some peanut butter and broken pretzel treats inside. This activity will motivate your pup to work to get every last morsel out of the toy. Leaving them, tired and happy!
-
. Take your pup’s pretzel treats and break them in half. Wrap them up in a towel and then begin to roll the towel up, placing pieces of treats throughout each roll. When you’re all finished, tuck the towel into itself, creating a knot. Congratulations - you’ve just created your own Mind Game! Let your pup loose to sniff and paw the towel open to discover the treats inside.

Treats are always an amazing motivator for teaching your dog a new trick! Use them as training treats to teach your pup to lay down, roll over or high five!
